Dishonest BOGO 'Deal' & A Customer Service Nightmare 😤
I'm writing this to warn everyone about my truly awful online shopping experience. I tried to use a BOGO promo, but their glitchy website wouldn't honor it. After struggling to find a real person to talk to, I finally connected with their customer service, hoping for a simple resolution. The entire experience left me feeling that this company is: Dishonest, doesn't honor promos. Makes it impossible to collect offer when the site is full of glitches. No customer Service 24 hours, no agent. Unprofessional. Will NOT return and I do NOT recommend them. This is the responses of what they offered. Return them ( even though their correct style and prescription. ) to RETURN AND REORDER to get the bogo they messed up and admitted. Simple solution? Credit back to my card used. Nah that's too easy. Here is how that conversation went:
Customer: Hi, my BOGO discount wasn't applied at checkout because of a site error. I have my order number. Can you please just credit me for the second pair of glasses?
CS Rep: I understand your frustration, and I apologize for the trouble with the promo code. To fix this, you will need to return both pairs of glasses, and then you can place a new order with the discount correctly applied.
Customer: You want me to return glasses that have the correct style and prescription, just to reorder them? That makes no sense. The mistake was on your end. Why can't you just refund the amount to my credit card?
CS Rep: I'm very sorry, but our system requires a return and reorder to process that specific promotion correctly. I can offer you a 15% off coupon for your next purchase for the inconvenience.
Customer: A coupon? Absolutely not. This is unprofessional and a dishonest way to do business. I'm not going through that hassle for a mistake your company made. Forget it.
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
