$300 Down the Drain: A Warning About Incorrect Prescriptions & Ghost Customer Service 👻
I’m writing this as a warning about my terrible online shopping experience. I want to make sure no one else has to go through what I did. Please be aware that this company has virtually no customer service available. I had a bad experience trying to reach them through the chat box and navigating through endless menus on the phone. I purchased a pair of Oakley glasses for over $300, but the prescription was ground incorrectly in one eye. I only realized this when a nose pad was damaged, and I had to get a replacement pair. I bought a $25 pair from one of their competitors, and I could see clearly with them. However, the expensive Oakley glasses I purchased had a blurry left eye due to the incorrect grinding. Now I'm out $300 for a pair of glasses that are completely useless to me. I felt I had no choice but to keep trying to contact them, hoping to get some kind of resolution for the money I wasted.
Customer: I finally reached a person! I spent over $300 on a pair of Oakley glasses and the prescription is wrong in the left eye. I can't see out of them. They're useless.
CS Rep: I'm very sorry to hear about the problem with your prescription and the difficulty you had contacting us. Can you please provide me with your order number?
Customer: It’s [Order Number]. I’m just so frustrated. I bought a cheap $25 pair from your competitor and they work perfectly. These expensive glasses are worthless.
